Earthwise Gyre uses a unique form of "indirect" membership. What this means is that you can only become a recognized member of Earthwise Gyre by becoming a member or individual sponsor of your local chapter's chosen Pagan charity. For example, the DC chapter only extends memberships to those that are also current members of The Open Hearth Foundation.

To take part in an Earthwise Gyre member-only expedition, therefore, you must also be a member of a your local chapter's chosen Pagan charity. Earthwise Gyre has deliberately set up its membership program this way to draw attention and support to the great work being done by our nation's Pagan charities. Earthwise Gyre collects no membership dues of its own.

While Earthwise Gyre supports these charities, there is no formal affiliation between chapter and charity. Earthwise Gyre confirms charity membership by comparing your submitted information with the information listed on the charity's website [or] by writing the charity directly and asking them if you are a member. No other kind of information is ever shared with Earthwise Gyre.

See the local chapter directory to identify the charity chosen by your local chapter.
